PioneerDJ and Serato DJ Pro Huge news

PioneerDJ and Serato DJ Pro Huge News!

PioneerDJ and Serato DJ Pro Huge news! But why? Why is this big news when Pioneer have released controllers before! They’ve also worked alongside Serato DJ on many occassions before, so what’s all the fuss about?

Before we delve into the magical world of this rekindled relationship let’s spin it back a few years…..
Once upon a time pioneer was best friends with Serato, they used to do everything together always close never scared to admit their relationship in public.
Pioneer wanted to keep things separate from hardware and DJ software and PioneerDJ was born a separate company.
PioneerDJ were not alone.  They already had a friend called Rekord box.
As pioneerDJs relationship grew stronger with Serato, Rekord  was left alone useless to anyone.
Over the coming months the relationship, the public affection they had one shown each other seem to have disappeared and rumours spread over split.

Then around January 2019 there was also talk of Pioneer giving up their shares in PioneerDJ, after all The CDJ is still global club standard even without anyone using CDs, same goes for their Famous mixer. Pioneer hardware have dominated this sector for a while recently Dennon DJ seem to have made moves in the club area, with some very high quality equipment, but they will have a lot of catching up to do to match pioneers dominance.

Over the next few releases of pioneers DJ controllers they do not come ready force a tour ever increasing the fuel on the fire that the two companies had parted ways.
Which also goes a long way to explain Seratos sudden midlife meltdown crisis. Whoring themselves out to any old hardware controller and launching random, unnecessary and uncalled for, certainly unneeded music production software.
whilst the once shy rekord box have made enormous improvements over the last year. (tipped to be top dj software in 2020 by myself)
This leads us to now and the latest announcement from Pioneer and Serato. After three or four controllers from Pioneer without Serato A lot of people would have seen this as a sign of the two parting ways.
This latest move not only sent a big message to the DJ community but also to rivals Dennon, Numark, Virtual DJ & Native instruments (Traktor,) maybe PCDJ & Dex?

This is why it is huge news!

Any moves by anybody in the DJ world hardware or software over the next six – twelve months could shape our next few years in the Booth and the shape of future DJing as a whole.
